About
My name is Anna Coba, and I’m a gem artist specializing in precision faceting and gemstone carving. This website is essentially my portfolio, a collection of my lapidary work that I continue to grow and refine.
I’m a certified professional gem cutter, committed to the highest standards of precision and polish. I’m based in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, USA. My creations range from classic and modern designs to truly one-of-a-kind pieces.
I’ve always been fascinated by sacred geometry and the inner life of minerals. I believe each gemstone, whether formed deep within the Earth over thousands of years or grown in a lab, is a living expression of our planet. Every stone has its own unique chemical makeup and vibrational energy. When I facet a gem, I aim to shape it in a way that reveals and enhances this natural energy, creating a deeper connection between the stone and its surroundings.
Guarantee
I’m committed to honesty and transparency in everything I offer. Any inclusions, imperfections, or treatments will be clearly noted in the gem’s description. I do my best to represent each gem accurately in photos and videos, though nothing compares to seeing a stone in person.
All my natural rough material is ethically sourced from trusted dealers. I never use filters or edit images to hide flaws. What you see is what you get.
If a gem catches your eye and you’d like more details or additional photos, feel free to reach out. I’ll be happy to help. And if you’re in the Atlanta area, you’re welcome to schedule an appointment to view the stone in person.
Each gem comes with a personal certificate from me that lists all its details.
All of my gemstones are sold in good faith as being exactly what they are claimed to be.
Quality
Every stone I sell is cut by me personally, from raw material to finished gem. I use an UltraTec V5 precision faceting machine, and I never rely on lasers or automated processes. My approach is entirely hands-on. I rarely repeat the same design unless it’s requested by a client.
You’ll see the care and attention in every clean meetpoint, perfect facet alignment, and mirror-like polish. I use 0.25 micron diamond polish to achieve the highest possible finish.
In the gem industry, many stones are cut mainly to preserve weight, which often results in uneven shapes and a lack of brilliance. These gems may also suffer from “windowing,” where light passes straight through the stone instead of reflecting, making them appear dull. I cut each gem to bring out its full potential, focusing on beauty, symmetry, and optical performance rather than just weight.
If you’re looking for a unique, custom gem that’s truly one of a kind, you’re in the right place.
Philosophy
There’s deep joy and satisfaction in transforming a rough stone into a polished gem. It’s a creative journey that involves exploring ideas, refining technique, and staying fully engaged in the craft. Each piece I complete has been carefully considered and treated with the respect it deserves.
